It was an exciting day here camera-wise.
An anole was licking a bit of fruit that had fallen out a bird feeder. Look at all the turquoise in his skin!
I took several pictures of these two young deer by our dock early this morning and didn't even see the mature one in the back till I downloaded the pictures. Occasionally one should take one's eye off the viewer!

This is a weak photograph, but it's interesting because it's a painted bunting out of season, but even more interesting because it's one of the ones that the project banded here last summer. We can tell exactly which bird it is by the color combinations of the bands.

  1. You had a great day! Love the pictures. That's a cute shot of the anole eating. Terrific shots of the peek-a-boo deer, too. It's interesting that the Painted Bunting returned to your feeders.
