Black necked stilts are such funny birds! And very noisy too. These were seen yesterday at Bear Island Wildlife Management Area, about a half hour from us. It's part of the ACE Basin, the largest reserve on the east coast.

  6. Thanks, Joan. Actually our stilts are only cousins of yours. You have black-winged stilts and we have black-necked stilts. Ours have black on the back of their necks, while yours are all white on the necks. Otherwise the same!
