While showing a friend around the area I spotted this tulip magnolia, magnolia soulangiana, blooming. It was such a rich color!

    SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These seem darker than I remember. They're so pretty and such a welcome sight. Great pictures. It's so refreshing to see flowers again.

    Thanks, SP. I agree that this was a much darker flower than one usually sees. That's what caught my eye. Must be a different variety.
