A mixed bag and an Announcement!

Here's a young squirrel escaping from the older mean one to the right. He just leaped right over him on our deck railing.

Here's the mean one--I'd be scared too!

The deer were out again today. Here's a young buck--see the tiny antlers beginning.

Here are three of his sisters off on their way.

Sunrise through the live oaks overlooking the marsh. This is the only time of the year that we can see the sunrise. Live oak trees lose their leaves just as the new ones come out, so the tree is 'thin' for just these few days.

We cut down the big pine that our wisteria was growing on last summer because it had grown too tall to be so near the house in an area prone to hurricanes. We thought that was the end of the wisteria too, but it came back as strong as ever and is all over another tree now. This branch is right outside the window from my computer--on the other side from the marsh. The fragrance is divine!

Now for a change. I'm finding that I am spending entirely too much time on blogging--it's quite addictive. And my business, as well as other responsibilities, are suffering a lot. So, while I will continue to post, I'm going to end the commenting section of my blog and although I will be looking still at many, many of your blogs, I probably won't comment there either--please know that I'm enjoying them all. I'm hoping you'll still come look at my postings, as I will yours, and I strongly encourage you to email me if you have any questions or things you'd like to say.
